Annnd... here goes the avoiding working at home... I have a take home exam in volcanology I have been working on to finish, and some boring data entry type stuff.
Things are moving along at an alarming rate! I am writing the paper for my thesis as well as my thesis proposal, I know its backwards but hey, I am just that awesome! My data is processed and I'm not even done with classes yet!
In other news, I have been working on my resume and cover letter and thinking about where I want to start looking for work. Its never too early to start and generate some excitement about yourself.
AGU should be awesome this yeah, and the itouch is already loads of fun! what with the iseismo and other fun geeky apps!

It was decided...
We have all these fancy networks and computers why don't we have an office wide computer game?
It was decided we need one. A shooting game so the profs can chase the students and shoot at them (my advisor came up with that one!)
today was oh so productive! on the social front at least!

Seismic Anisotropy:
I am reading a book on Seismic Anisotropy and came across a line that I thought was pretty damn awesome...
"... rather extensive mathematics are necessary, indeed, to deal with these subjects."
It made me feel like a bad ass. I love feeling smart sometimes, I too often feel stupid... like today when I was told I was stupid in one of my classes (ok the whole class and it was 10 minutes of you guys are stupid)
