Science news

So I have been enjoying the science magazine podcast from AAAS and nature podcasts from Nature! its nice to a have a weekly review of new science news.

In the Science podcast this week, they were talking about comparing the paleo-pollens from the Galapagos with current plants, to determine local and non-native plats. Its a nice new way to apply geology to something in conservation. Takes the science that didn't have an application (well as the general public thinks) and gives it one.

I am also loving the geotimes website I found that has geologic studies in the news, and more of a whats going on in geology. nothing fancy but its nice to know what other people are working on. http://www.geologytimes.com/
check it out!
