For Christmas Eve I took my family up to Mauna Kea to see the Keck Observatory and watch the sunset. They had complained that I wanted them to bring warm clothes to Hawaii but they LOVED IT! I told them it would be an "educational adventure" vacation. Because come on, it's me we are talking about!
I have some photos of the cinder cones with snow on them that I will post in the next few days.
