New Contender for Worlds Oldest Rock! NPR story
There is a new contender for the oldest rock! Archean stuff is totally awesome, I wish I had pictures of some of the ones I saw in Montana.
According to the USGS time scale Archean starts at about 2500 Million years ago!

I wish you did, too! Do you have any pictures of old-ish rocks from Alaska?
hmmm I have some of Denali, I am not familiar enough with the geology to know where the oldest rocks in Alaska are yet!
