So I have this cross section that I am doing... the scale for the large one is 1:1,000,000 so 1cm is 10km ok that's fine and dandy, but I only have structure for the top 3-5km that is 3mm to 5mm ok squish it in there... and then there is the simplified cross section... 1:5,000,000 so 1cm is 50km... this makes my entire cross section through the red sea... 5cm long and a little more than 1 cm deep. that's freakin small! what the hell!?
Well I am going to do the assignment the way it says to and cross my fingers!

I do my cross-sections in CorelDraw*--that way I can zoom in to edit the tiny details more easily. It also means that I can print it out in any size I like, so long as the scale is enlarged or shrunk with the section.
*any drawing program which includes an ability to set grid-lines at specific distances will work for cross-ssections
cool thanks! I have another one due in a few weeks I'll give the digital a try!
Great, I'll look forward to seeing you share it here! (It being easy to share digital images--no need to scan them first.)
