sorry, its been a while

Well start of a new quarter and getting sick, that combo means things like blogs don't get updated.

As I am sure the world now knows (due to the crashing of the AVO website) Mt Redoubt looks like it is going to erupt. At this point I think the volcano is being a drama queen and loving the spot light because while everything still points to eruption it is sitting quietly.

In other news I was called very early in the morning this week about an earthquake in Washington state. It looks like it is indeed one in the subducting slab, and not that big. I am actually surprised at the small number of quakes that can be felt in that subduction zone. Oh well.

Alaska had a quake recently as well, and also pretty deep out in the cook inlet near Mt St Augustine.
