On this day in 1980 Mt St Helens woke up, in a big way. This eruption became an object of obsession for me at an early age I am still awe struck when I see her.
Mt St Helens is for sure one damn cool volcano!
though currently sleeping CVO says there might be some recharge in the magma chamber!
Mt St Helens will always be my favorite volcano for the simple reason that it was my first. And who can argue with the spines!? Beautiful!
So visit CVO check out the webcams and if you can go see Mt St Helens!
